feeing question
so Allison was born at 10 lbs as you all know and she has been drinking 3-4oz of pumped bm the last few days. After she eats she has terrible gas and then needs a diaper chcnge almost immediatly. Its that yucky yellowy mustard like poop. sorry tmi
i called the ped and she said to gve her 2 oz at a time every 2hours rather than the 4 every 3-4 hours. I tried thattoday and she is miserable and starving! I want to listen to the ped but ia lso dont want the baby screaming her head off because she is hungry. Thought?

Re: feeing question
Is she crying at the end of the feeding when she's given 2 oz? In other words does she start crying as soon as she finishes the 2 oz bottle?

Its very normal for newborn BM fed babies to do a poo at every feeding. The mustardy yellow yogurty smelling ones

Re: feeing question
mustardy yellow poos come with the territory with a BM fed baby. It's the way they digest it.
Like the PP mentioned - if she finishes 2 oz and is looking for more - than I would give her more
