Feeding utensils

Seems like a simple decision but I don't know what kind of feeding bowls/plates to get for DD who is just about to start on solids. Do I need a sectioned plate or just a bowl? What do you have? Where can I find this kind of stuff? What is yours made of - plastic, ceramic, melanine? TIA! Pictures are helpful!

I just bought the Gerber plastic bowls that came with lids. I also found that in the beginning a spoon with a shallow bowl was best for feeding. HTH.

We have sectional and just regular children's bowls (which DD still would prefer to just toss on the floor with every chance ). In the beginning with mushed food, we just used regular bowls for feeding and advanced from there with sectionals as her food had more texture to it

I have the take and toss fork/spoons which she likes and we have some plastic and metal ones as well. I find DD doesn't mind which one she gets, as long as the spoon and fork are not too big for her mouth. She has received some as gifts (with her favorite characters) and that is the case with some of those

I made sure the utensils I got were BPA free. Babies R Us has a section online with BPA Free utensils and I also bought things on this site: The Soft Landing
