Feeding/sleeping/burping
My DD sometimes falls asleep during her night time feeding. When she does it is extremely hard to get her to burp. Many times I just put her to bed without burping. Then a while later she wakes up because she has gas. Anything I can do to get her to burp when she falls asleep? She burps a lot during and after feedings.

Feeding/sleeping/burping
I have this argument with dh all the time bc he does the bedtime feeding since it's his bonding time. She is out cold and it's hard for him to get a burp. Sometimes she wakes up screaming and i go get her from the crib, pick her up and she has a big burp she needed to get out.
Try a little longer. I hold her upright on my shoulder and pat her back while I walk around the room. Sometimes it takes a while but I mostly end up getting one.

Yes! This exactly. I hold her over my shoulde and pat her. I usually end up with a wimpy little burp and I know she has a lot more in there. A while later there it comes.

Re: Feeding/sleeping/burping
It is pretty funny because my DH did the night time feeding as well so they have bonding time. Last week I took it over because DH gave up. She had become so cranky he said he wouldn't do it anymore. We agreed that I would do the feeding if he would do the burping and putting her to bed. Every night I give him a sleeping baby and 3 times the past 5 nights we have done this she has woken up needing to burp. We get into arguments also because he says she is still hungry and I tell him she has gas. This happened to us tonight too. I told him not to put her down until she burped and he listened. Then she woke up. Now he wants me to give her more to eat to put her to sleep again!!! Put your foot down DH!!!

So so funny. Whenever dd was fussy dh would say she's hungry. One night he did a night feeding and she took the whole bottle but wasn't out cold after and was fussy. He assumed she was hungry and I was sleeping so he went ahead and have her more. She has like 8oz and she was only like 2 months old! The next day was brutal for me. She had major stomach issues from that.

Yup! According to my DH she is always hungry too. Whenever I go out, even if it is just to run to cvs for 10 min he asks when she last ate and if I plan to feed her before I go.
