Feeding Problem...not sure what to do!
Alex was on a 3 hour cycle of eat, play, sleep. The last few days she is screaming for food and showing signs of hunger every 1.5-2hrs. When we do feed her on demand she is eating 2.5-3oz. When we stay on the 3 hour cycle she eats about 3.5oz.
During the day I cam hold her off with a pacifier most of the time, however at night she's been eating at 8pm finishing 3.5oz, sleeping till 9:30 and taking another 3.5 and up again at 12, 4, 5:30, 7.
Needless to say I'm exausted and don't know what's going on here. She is still under 32oz/day which is the guideline I was told but this is not a schedule we can uphold.
Any advice would be appreciated!

how old is she?
Do you need to up her ounces each feeding? Maybe she needs to burp and offer her some more?

Please please please ignore those guidelines! Those are estimates and not an accurate predictor of what every baby needs. Give her 4 oz. at her next feeding and see how she does. If she leaves more than an oz., it might be a growth spurt (they just eat more often during those times). If she takes it all and leaves 1/2 an oz. or less she's ready for a bigger bottle.

She is 3 weeks old. When I give her the full 3.5oz she doesn't seem to want more. I work hard to get her to finish those bottles thinking it will hold her off longer.

Sounds like a growth spurt? I'd pay attention to what my baby wants instead of a strict "under 32 oz" schedule.

Thanks! I will give her 4oz today and see how she does.

That sounds a growth spurt and around the right time. You will see that she will want to eat, eat, eat then she will sleep A LOT

Ok, so should I just follow her lead and feed as often as she demands?

This is what I did with both of my kids. It's tough the first few weeks/months but they get themselves on a schedule-I found you really just can't force it. Just add more and see if she takes it-it will buy you some time eventually

Re: Feeding Problem...not sure what to do!
My DS is 3 weeks as well and I feed him when he's hungry... which is usually every 2.5-3 hours anyway. I would just follow her lead and feed her when she's hungry. Are you swaddling her tight at night? My son would wake up a few times a night and now that we are using the Swaddle Me... he goes down at 10-11ish and only wakes to eat at 3:30 and 7:30. Maybe that would help at night!

We have been trying to swaddle but she breaks out of it every time. I just ordered the Woombie, hoping that will keep her in tight. The swaddle me she hates and broke out of. I am hoping to get that longer stretch of sleep soon!

She is only 3 weeks. You are just going to. Have to go with it for now. It will get better as she gets older... I know it's hard but at only 3 weeks you can't control the schedule.

I am a big believer that if your baby is hungry, feed her! Good luck!
