Going with dh, 2 year old dd and 2 month old dd. Meeting our friends with no kids.
Someplace that allows outdoor food and is kid friendly. And good wines! Music too

Re: Favorite wineries
My favorite is Baiting Hollow Vineyard. They have an outside area and rescue horses. A few times throughout the day, they give tours of the stables where the horses are and tell you their backstory. I also really like Martha Clara

Re: Favorite wineries
Osprey's Dominion!
Has a huge area for the kids to run and play, picnic tables- you can bring your own food (but not your own booze- they do check your coolers) they have an outside oyster bar as well
And live music most weekends
Very kid friendly

I agree with the above. DS has been going with us to the vineyards since he was an infant, so our usual routine is to hit the vineyards with animals, or Harbes Farm (which also has a tasting room) and then picnic at Bedell (our favorite).

Osprey and palmer. Both very kid friendly, room to run around and bring some toys, no issues bringing outside food.

Re: Favorite wineries
We usually end up at Pindar.
Martha Clara does not allow outside food and I feel like it's always overrun with drunken 20-somethings who can't handle their wine and tons of people from the city.
We also like Sherwood. Not crowded at all when we've been.
I'm going to check out some of the other recs when we go in a few weeks.

Tx! We were at Ospreys a month ago with all the families from dds nursery school for a family day it was great. We even had it catered. Fun music and big space for kids.

I usually would recommend Baiting Hollow but we went recently and it was so crowded -- way too many bachelorette parties and party buses. It was to the point that pushing a stroller was impossible. When we started going there 2ish years ago, that wasn't the case. It was quiet, easy to get a seat/table in the shade, etc. I have a feeling its because its one of the first vineyards on Sound Avenue when coming from the LIE. We really like Osprey's Dominion and Sparkling Pointe. Pindar also has 2 large outdoor areas, both of which are covered and well shaded.

DH and I have been saying the same thing. We started going for Mother's Day about two years ago, and while it was crowded at certain vineyards, it wasn't at all of them. This year was crazy. People were parking in the street at Bedell. I feel like everyone discovered our secret.

I love Riesling. Can you bring outside food? Kid friendly? Not worried about the 2 month old, more for the 2 year old

There were couples that had picnic baskets so I assume yes. There were a lot of kids there actually. Not really much for them to do but Im sure you will bring whatever they need to keep busy. There is a picnic area under the grape vines which was so pretty. There is where the live music was as well. The rest of the grounds had picnic tables set up all over the lawn.
