Favor or Activity?

Doing Frozen theme for my DD's upcoming birthday.

Looked online for some cute themes and found that you can build a snowman kit (marshmallows, pretzel sticks, chocolate chips).

Do you think this is better to do as an activity for the kids or give away as a favor for the kids to do at home?

If favor, I would have to think of cute themed activities to keep kids entertained.

TIA

I would give it out as a favor.

I think it would be cute to do as an activity at the party, but then if the kids don't eat it right away what happens with it? How do they take it home without it getting messy/falling apart/melting?

Also as much as I would like to say " Skip the favor" I know my DC look/expect some type of goodie bag at the end of a party... of course they would get over it if they didn't get one but I'm sure they would mortify me and loudly ask about it Chat Icon

Favor or Activity?

we just had a frozen party for my daughter. she turned 6. we did the make your own snowman as an activity and it was fun! some parents had to assist a little but it was easy. I set up the kits in ziplock bags. each bag had everything you needed. We even cut the marshmellow in the shape of olaf's head. I handed each kid a kit and paper plate. I melted white chocolate which acted as an adhesive to the pieces and gave each kid about a tablespoon. everything went very smooth. and when they were done, I carefully put their plate in the ziplock bag so that they could dry and be ready to take home. I labeled the bag with their names.

we also did a make your own snow craft. it was messy but so much fun and the kids loved it!
