Favor ideas and game for a bday party
We're doing a surprise wine tour for my Mom's birthday in a couple of week. I'm trying to figure out favors. Any suggestions that fit the theme but that aren't super "matchy matchy?" I know we could do mini wine bottles, and we might still do that....but I also like the idea of doing something a bit unexpected, so I'm trying to figure out my other options.
Also.... we're going to have two hours where we have picnic tables at one of the wineries. This will be after the tastings, and everyone will just be eating/hanging out. Do you think I should do a game or something to keep people entertained?
We had a racetrack themed party for my Dad's, and we did a word scramble "race" of track terms, and the winning table got lottery tickets. That was a different set up though...we were in a private room at a catering hall...not outdoors at a winery where I'll be screaming to 40 people in the midst of a group of strangers.  I just don't want people to get bored.
I was thinking I'd give each table a plate with different cheeses on them, and have people eat the cheese and guess what it is. The winning table would get a prize. Is that too um...cheesy?

the cheese thing is cute
as for favors, what about cheese knife/board set?...or wine glass charms?

u can give the mint cheese boards, wine bottle openers..

that is what i ws gonna say..with like a monogram or something so they know it is theirs
or koozies for the beer drinkers lol
