Re: Faux finish painting
i dont know if this is high end. But i have a silver textured paint in my closet with a walpaper ceiling.
It was a ralph lauren paint, and they used a special roller brush to put it on. its pretty cool

Re: Faux finish painting
I was originally going to have my living room walls color washed, but I ended up having them done with rag rolling.
The painter we used did a fantastic job: Color Your World

Re: Faux finish painting
I used Debbie Viola from Something Different for DD's nursery. She did a mural in her room, but she slso does amazing faux finishes. She's a vendor on here.

We have this in a greenish color already here from the owners in the living room and front hall-it's pretty...

....but a LOT of work.... I told DW that I'm glad I did it, and it looks great, but there's no way I'm doing it again!

Re: Faux finish painting
I've done ventian plaster and paper bag walls(which look like leather) I did it myself though so I guess it wouldn't be "high end" However venetian plaster is gorgeous and you can get any color BM paint mixed in venetian plaster so there arfe lots of options. In my next house i will do it in a dining room in a deep gray I think.

Re: Faux finish painting
my FIl did venetian plaster on my 1st floor- not the paint, the actual plaster... he is from italy and this is his trade, if we had to pay for the work, the cost would be a ridiculous amount... I have to say, I am in LOVE with my walls!!
