Family rant
So my mother has decided to plan my sister's sweet sixteen after I give birth instead of before, so my family from FL won't have to come up for the party and then again to see the baby. I figured that meant like a month or so after my due date. But she planned it for 6/13, and my due date is 5/25. Then I find out the other day that she moved it without telling me, to 6/6! I argue with her telling her I could be giving birth right before the party, or even the same day! She tells me that I won't go past one week and that I'll be fine. She expects me to give birth, then get all dressed up and go to a fancy party and leave my days old newborn with someone from DH's family. And to top it all off, I was supposed to make the cake!

It sounds like you have already talked to her about how you feel. I can't believe that she scheduled that party so close after your due date. Maybe you should try and talk to her again??

Wow, I don't even have good advice for you cause it seems like she's been pretty unreasonable when you've tried to talk to her about this. Crazy.

What is your sister's actual bday?
Seriously that is ridiculous that the party is so close to your due date. She can't possibly expect you to go and definitely not expect you to do the cake!
My mom is the extreme the other way. She thinks I should be home with 24-7 help and do nothing for at least a month so I can heal.

That is the kicker- my sister's bday is in FEB! She wants to do it in the summer so my family will be here from FL, but not too late, because a lot of her friends are going away on summer vacations.

If it were me... I wouldnt do the cake anymore... let it be store bought. You will have much more on your mind ( whether you have just given birth or are still waiting)
As for the party, its too far ahead to freak out. Wait and see when baby comes and then how you are feeling.
