Fall crops or second harvest plants
Anybody do a fall planting or cool crop planting? I am thinking of doing cabbage, beets, snowpeas and possibly broccoli but not sure when to sew seeds since I think I will be still harvesting until the end of the month.
I still have all my tomatoes (just got five so far and the rest are turning), string beans are still going but i think i will only get a few more weeks out of it, peppers haven't harvested yet, corn i have a few more ears developing.
When do you sew your seeds or do you do it indoors for winter crops then transplant after tilling?

Re: Fall crops or second harvest plants
I am going to start my lettuce seeds. Cabbage did not work for me this Spring. I may try again.
I am going to start this week.

Re: Fall crops or second harvest plants
Any recomendations for fall plants that animals wont eat? I would love to plant cabbage, but it would be like setting up a buffet for all the woodland creatures
