Failed the 1 Hour!!

Blech. The 1 hour was bad enough. Not looking forward to the 3 hour at all. Apparently, they take blood 4x and you have to stay there the entire time. Should be fun considering I have small veins so it's difficult to take my blood and the resulting bruises are ridiculous. Sigh.

Failed the 1 Hour!!

I know how much it s*cks failing the 1 hour. I failed the 1 hour by a couple points and had to take the 3 hour test. I brought magazines and books and my phone charger. They take blood when you first get there and then every hour after you finish drinking the stuff. I ended up going to the Quest in Glen Cove. They had a place for me to lay down. I ended up napping hour 2 and it really broke it up.

I also have crappy veins so I was worried about it too. They have plenty of places they can take from and it ended up being not so bad. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the kind words. I go to Sunrise Labs so unfortunately I don't think there's anywhere to lie down. I'm going to get a book and just make the best of it. We have to do what we have to do right.

Failed the 1 Hour!!

I also failed the one hour glucose by a couple of points, it def sucks to have to sit there but the lady at the desk gave me the remote and I was able to watch some tv (and was happy it wasn't the Disney channel since that's all my DD wants to watch at home) and played on my phone for a while. I ended up feeling sick and they let me lay down for like an hour.

Ugh, the 3 hour really sucks!! I had to take it with my DS and again this time. Just bring an iPad or Kindle or something to keep you entertained.
