Failed my 3 hour glucose test
Sorry. It's not so bad. The worst part for me was working and trying to have my meals at the right time so I could test 2 hours later. And then the extra nurse appointments were annoying and being labeled as higher risk...

Re: Failed my 3 hour glucose test
It takes some getting used to, but it really isn't that bad.

Failed my 3 hour glucose test
sorry my sister just went through this... her son was born on Thanksgiving. She said the hardest part was keeping track on stuff while working. She's a teacher, and had to check her blood a couple times a day, plus eat at certain times... not easy when you have a class full of 8th graders! she also had extra dr appointments, too. also, bc of the GD, her doctor induced her on her due date.... so that ended up being a long process, too- she started the induction on Tuesday and then ended up with a c-section on Thursday (thanksgiving) . we're still not sure what the doctors "rush" to induce her was... BUT now she's doing fine, back to eating whatever she wants the baby is fine as super cute

Re: Failed my 3 hour glucose test
I had it. My sugar levels were well controlled on the diet so I never had to do insulin. I didn't mind the diet. It was easy to follow to stay balanced. I missed icecream but knowing it doesn't last forever is helpful.

Re: Failed my 3 hour glucose test
I just failed mine too. I met with an endocrinologist on Friday. I procrastinated with the test, and was just diagnosed at 34 weeks
The doctor gave me a glucometer, I have to keep a food log, and monitor my fingersticks 4/day. This is my second day, and I know it could be worse, but it's so hard to eat at proper times and keep a food log. I had one high read this weekend, but I'm hoping that weekday numbers are better because I'll be at work and will have a better schedule/routine.
The doctor also said that over 80% of women control it by their diet alone, so I'm really hoping I'm in that statistic!
