Failed glucose test....so annoyed
I failed the one hour with a 161! I'm so annoyed. I already eat a high protein/low carb diet and exercise daily. Idk what else I can possibly do to regulate it. I feel like I failed it bc my body is not used the consuming sugar like that and went into shock. Ugh. So now I have to do the three hour.

I was told most people seem to fail the one hour. My dr is sending me for a two hour which is diagnostic. I only have to do one test

Failing the one hour test has nothing to do with not consuming sugar on a regular basis. The test challenges your body to see if it responds "normally" to glucose consumption. Gestational diabetes can occur even if you have a well balanced diet. Take the three hour test and see what happens- if you do have GD then meet with a nutritionist to help you review your diet. The worst case scenario is you have GD and require medication for a few months to regulate your blood sugar. Try not to get down about it.

I failed my three hour and now have GD. I have been told repeatedly by all doctors, nurses, nutritionists that there is nothing you could have done to prevent it. It is how your body is reacting to the pregnancy. Good luck and hopefully you pass!!

Very true. I failed my 1hr with a 196 but passed my 3hr. There is hope GL
