failed 1 hour GTT!!!!!!

and i seriously cant stop crying i have had so many complications with this pregnancy i just really didnt want to add GD to the list. i have to stick myself with needles as it is for the pump that im on i dont want to have to do it again for GD.. i know that sounds selfish but im so DONE! i just cant wait for this little girl to be here and for it to be all worth it!

Is it possible that the 3 hour can come back normal??

im a nurse and i asked what my sugar was and they said it was 132.. now as far as i understand thats with in normal limits anythiny over 160 is slightly elevated.. Can any of you ladies please give me some insight?

every doc has their own protocol for pass/fail hon....

i'm sorry you're so upset - but please know that many women have failed the 1 hour and passed the 3 hour...

also - please know that while GD bites, it's not a death sentence. once you 'figure' it out - it's not that bad - i promise!!!!

I failed with a 152. My doctor wanted the number to be below 140. I was sure I was going to fail the 3 hour but I passed with what the nurse said were "perfect" numbers (she didn't tell me the exact numbers). Good Luck

I took mine early, 8 weeks, and failed the 1 hour. My doc said she wanted it between 120-130 and I was over 160. I thought for sure there was no way I would pass the 3 bc people were telling me my number was too high. Well, I took the 3 hour and the numbers were completly normal. I wouldn't get to upset... your number still sounds good! You may be 2 points over, but they still have to fail you and make you go for the 3 hour. GL

im so sorry you failed, there are a few girls on here that passed the 3 hour and failed the 1 hour. Plus as you know im an RN and the numbers they use are very strict as far as GD, i think its b.c we are pregnant. Good Luck on the 3 hour. And honest once you get the hang of it, its really not bad.

Don't worry Meg. You will probably pass the 3 hour. And even if you don't- it WILL all be worth it and you only have a couple of months to go before you little angel is here

so i guess just hope i pass the 3 hour! i didnt think it was too high so maybe itll come back totally normal who knows

I totally understand that feeling. I had it the whole first trimester. You will be okay, though
