Failed 1 hour and scared please help
I know I don't post often, but hope someone has some advice. I am absolutely terrified of needles and the idea of the 3 hour test scares me to death. However, the possiblity of failing that scares me even more. I have no idea how I would handle it. Can I please here some positive stories of the 3 hour not being so bad? Also if you know how much you failed the 1 hour by would help to. Thanks ladies

I just had my 3 hr the other day and the only thing I hated about the whole thing was having to fast for 12hrs and then drink that drink !! Them taking the blood was nothing !!
This is the 3rd child I had to do thid for and with the ither 2 i pased the 3 hr Im waiting the results for this one !! Its not bad at all

I don't have any advice for you, but please keep in mind that even if you do fail.... It's not the end of the world, and better that you find out in advance than not know and have complications due to GD down the road honey!

OK, I failed my 1 hour, passed my 3 hour. I went to the lab a couple of days before and asked if I could endure the 3 hours somewhere other than the waiting room and they said they had a small room I could use. i brought pillows, reading material and my laptop and watched a DVD - one of my favorites - "Shakespeare in Love" I ended up napping the lat 1/2 hour or so.
They also let me use the staff bathroom for the Urine samples - b/c I was grossed out and vomitting looking at other peoples Urine samples that were left on the toilet. (I still don't believe they did that there!) Just ask nice and they should take pity on the poor pregnant girl...
Good luck! (I hate needles too, but the guy who took my blood was a real pro and it didn't hurt that much!)

I failed my 1 hour but I was borderline and then passed my 3 hour.
Honestly I am not a big fan of needles, but the worst part is really drinking the crap drink you have to drink and the waiting around. Bring a good book.
