Facials - any kind during pregnancy??
So my skin has never looked so bad (ok, maybe when I was 18 and had my teen acne stage)...
I would love to go for a facial, maybe before my maternity pics or before my baby shower. But since we're not allowed to lay flat on our backs and we're prego, do we have to go somewhere to get a special kind of pregnancy facial? Or can I just go for a regular facial and they can do it while I lie sideways or sitting or something?

That's a great question that I'd love to know the answer to. I know that they can't use anything with too much vitamin A when we're pregnant, but I never thought about the fact that you're normally lying on your back.

 I went for a facial two weeks ago. I know we are not supposed to lie on our backs but I figured 1hr. isn't bad. Lying on your back all night I think is what concerns most doctors.
I was 22 weeks and am fine.

I go for facials every month - but not the fancy kinds, the ones at the dermatologist. I think it is fine BUT I am so much more sensitive, I cry through them now LOL

I wouldn't worry about the back thing and anyway at the hospital they just stick a rolled up towel under one side of u- so ur still on ur back but at a little slant. U could try that...

I am much more sensitive when I get my eyebrows done. Pregnancy is weird.
