face cream/ face wash routine?

hope you ladies can give me some good advice.

since having DS and getting older I noticed my skin has been changing. I'm almost 30 (in april) and it seems i'm finally starting to break out less ( Chat Icon )

i just don't know what my new face cleansing routine should be. is there anything out there for my age group?

can you recommend a face wash and face cream to use to keep my skin young looking that also fights the occasional breakouts? nothing too expensive please!

I know you said nothing expensive but I have tried so much out there and Lancome Genefique is the only thing that works for my face. I will be 30 in November so I know that change you talking about because I am noticing it also.
I use the face wash and the concentrated serum (the one in the pump) and then oil of olay over it. My skin never looked better.

It is $84 but lasts about 7 months. You use it under your moisturizer morning and night.

I just use the Cetaphil bar to wash and then Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing lotion. I LOVE this lotion, been using it for years. I have pretty good skin and never have breakouts.

YES! I feel like I'm promoting arbonne today but I love this line by arbonne. It's the RE9 advanced line & I've never even heard of this stuff until a month ago. It's helped lessen the appearance of tiny forehead wrinkles on my face that magically appeared the day I turned 30- just turned 32 a couple of weeks ago.

click

it's 5 steps:
cleanser, toner, renewal serun, eye cream, day cream or night cream (depending on the time of day :))

I'm a fan of Alpha Hydrox products:
*Foaming Face Wash (can be purchased at Bed Bath, Harmon or Ulta)
*Retinol ResQ (hard to find in stores, so I order online. I use this on my face, chest area & shoulders at night and sometimes during the day if I'm not going anywhere.)
*10% Glycolic Acid Gel Oil-Free (can be found at Bed Bath, Harmon or Ulta. I use this in the morning under my moisturizer.)

I also use stronger glycolic acid products at night (or during the day if I'm not leaving the house) by Glytone. They have to be ordered online.

I use dove soap. The white bar. I love it. I rarely (if ever, and Im ducking while typing) get any break outs.

I have tried every face wash, trick on the market. dove never leave a residue, a dry feeling or anything.

I also use Dove bar of soap and old school Sea Breeze. Love them both and they're cheap and do the trick.

Re: face cream/ face wash routine?

I have rosacea, so I am very careful with what I put on my face and my esthetician's "budget" recommendations are:

1. Oil of Olay face wash
2. Oil of Olay moisurizer with SPF 15 - at a minimum
3. Any toner. The trick with the toner is to get a separate bottle and pour in half toner and half water, she feels that the toner can be too harsh directly.

My routine:
Morning:
Face wash
Toner
Moisturizer

Evening:
REMOVE MAKE UP, I use Target eye make up remover, it's awesome.
Face wash
toner
Moisturizer

If I take off my make up way early before bed, I put more moisturizer on before bed.

That's it.

Also, take care of your hands as well. Lots of lotion every time you wash. As you get older, they will give away your age faster than your face.
