I think its ridiculously expensive but worth every penny, thousands of 5 star reviews anywhere you look, in every beauty magazine etc... I splurged & bought it last month and see a difference. Not sure if it makes a difference but i'm 39, so i am looking for reducing fine lines.

Is it really worth it? I've tried it in the store and feels amazing but I just have a hard time justifying that price tag

Elizabeth Grant has a lot of the same ingredients as la mer and works really well. You can buy it through her website and when you sign up you get 20% off or you can buy it through either HSN, ShopNBC or QVC. She was on yesterday and had a lot of specials.
Right now I am using her caviar line and love it. Her eye cream really works well. I will say that the cream feels heavy but it hasn't made me break out.

I use Jojoba Oil in the summer and this Trader Joe's lotion in the winter.

What type of face cream are you looking for? What is your skin like?
From a moisturizing standpoint, I use:
*Koh Gen Do Moisture Spa Gel
*Avocado Oil - at night or during the day if I'm not going anywhere (unrefined/cold pressed)
I use other products daily for other reasons (anti-aging, exfoliation, etc.)
