Fabric Cord Covers

Hey wonderful ladies (and perhaps a few gentlemen lurking on the home board) I am in the process of updating the screened in porch on my house and I have changed my mind about something I was planning on doing but now I have ugly light cords hanging down my walls. I would like to get one of those fabric cord covers that I have seen but I can't find a physical store that sells them...only online vendors. I was hoping to be able to run out and get something tomorrow. Does anyone know where I could find something like this?

TIA!!!

Re: Fabric Cord Covers

Are you crafty at all? They are so easy to make. otherwise, I'd suggest etsy.

I'm sorry, I don't know of any places in store .

Re: Fabric Cord Covers

Thanks...I guess I could make them...problem the cord I wanna cover is pretty long, I read some directions that say that you have to double the length of the cord...which would mean I would have to get 10 yards of fabric! Just to cover a cord... it doesnt seem worth it, so I will have to live with it for now.

Thanks!

Re: Fabric Cord Covers

remember that it's not thick.. it's only a cord... so you could get away with using only a few yards and just sew a seam in between the strips.

Re: Fabric Cord Covers

you could probably use that fabric tape that some people use to hem curtains or pants.

That may be a little difficult. remember that after you do it, you need to turn it right side out. I'm afraid it may detach.
