Ezema in Pregancy - anyone else dealing with this?
I've developed ezema on my hand and it was caused by not wearing gloves while washing dishes and sometimes cleaning (although i mostly always use gloves when cleaning due to the chemicals) - but annoyingly my skin started getting very dry and has not spread to a few fingers
Well - i went to the dermatolgoist yesterday who confirmed its the beginning stage of ezema and that Hydrocorzine 2% might work to dry it up but to ask my GYNO first to confirm if it is known to cause any harm to the fetus......he said most GYNO say it's okay. Okay - MOST???!!! it not good enough for me.
well - im scared to use anything now - but it burns and itches and i've been trying to keep it mosturized......
Anyone else dealing with this or something similar? Any products you recommend?

I have had eczema my whole life. If you are afraid to use the medicine, just try to keep it very moisturized. I like Eucerin or Cetaphil moisturizer. Eucerin also make a calming creme which really helped me in the winter when I would get flair ups.

Your skin goes crazy when your pg. I developed a crazy virus when I was about 8 wks (it was like chicken pox) & the derm said the only thing I could use is Sarna lotion. It didn't help the itching that much but it's better than nothing

My skin has become very dry and I am using Eucerin which seems to be helping.

I have it during pg, my DD and DH have it all the time, it's awful.
the stickier and greasier the moisturizer the better.
Get the tub of eucerin, it works the best on eczema and keeps your hands/skin moist the longest.
Aquafor works pretty good too.

i have it on my hands too, and i use hydrocortisone pretty often. My dr said it is fine. 1%

I use Cetaphil. This is the only product that has worked from me for years. It's not perfect but at least it does not give me rashes.
Use it a few times a day on the bad areas.
