Re: Eye color question
I'm pretty sure that if they start changing from blue to green that they will probably not go back to blue... but then again I could be wrong!!!
ETA: Eye color is so strange to me. DH has hazel eyes, mine are blueish/greenish/greyish and DS has the most beautiful bright blue eyes... but then again so does my dad, so it is in the genes somewhere!

Mine do, depends on shade of blue your looking to change too. Mine will never be light blue, but they go back and forth from green and blue.

This was my thought too. And DH has brown eyes, m8ine change between green and blue and DS has the bluest eyes you could imagine (like my brothers)

I know -DH always tell Ryan "you're a blue-eyed version of me - lucky boy"
My Dad has blue eyes so that must be where they came from

Re: Eye color question
Im waiting to see what color Abby's eyes decide to settle on. They are a blue-grey now (as many newborns are). DH has light brown eyes, I have green. There are plenty of different eye colors in our familiy so it's anyone's guess.

If her eyes are changing to green from blue they will most likely NOT turn back to blue.

Its a Punnett Square. Eye color is tricky though, there are so many combinations. Sweet Caroline, you and your DH are both heterozygous for eye color - meaning both of you carry the dominant gene (brown) and the recessive gene (blue). If just one of you had given Ryan the dominant gene, he would have had brown eyes. But both of you had to give him the recessive gene for his blue eye trait.

Yep. the genetic gene is decided when the egg meets the sperm.. so no way of telling what dominant gene your dd has. its just a chart that can tell you what the possiblities are.. not exactly what you will have.

Re: Eye color question
Depends on a lot of factors.
You can try the test below.
http://www.thetech.org/genetics/index.php
For example, DS is blond and blue eyes at 16 months.
DH has VERY dark brown eyes and medium brown hair
I have hazel eyes (brown and green) and light/medium brown hair
BUT My side: My dad is blond and blue eyes My mom's mom is blond and blue eyes. My grandmother's dad had blue eyes. One of my sister is blond and blue eyes. All of them became light brown hair but would turn back blond in the summer.
DH' side: His mom: blue eyes His brother and sister: blue eyes DH was blond as a kid
So DS is blond (he already got a darker blond from when he was born and will most likely turn a light brown like all of us) and he still has his blue eyes. They are dark blue. Not light. But noone in my family has light blue eyes. It's a deep blue. He had 16% chance to be a blue eye.

Re: Eye color question
Thats a cool site, thanks for sharing.
The % chance my child having anything but brown eyes is slim Pooh.. would have been cool if this baby had dhs dark hair color and my eye color.
