Am I the only one who feels like their selection has gone downhill from a few years ago? I loved the store the most around 2004/2005 and I still have some stuff from back then. I bought loads of work clothes that were fun but still appropriate such as flowered or printed skirts, pretty and colorful tops, etc.
I feel like all they have now are sleezy, SUPER short skirts or plain business casual pencil skirts..no more pretty a-line or pleated print skirts. Their tops are either button down shirts or graphic tees..nothing in between.
And their dresses, while pretty, are so shor! The funny thing is that if you look at the print, they don't look like they are meant to be mini-dresses..they look elegant and classy but then I try them on and they look ridiculous!
Please tell me I'm not the only one.

ITA!
I used to go there all the time because it was the perfect place to get clothes for work and also casual stuff - everything was always cute and they had selection and it all fit well. I walk in now and all I really see is party stuff and things that are ill-fitting. It used to be my go-to place, but I haven't bought anything from them in a long time.

DEFINITELY! I was just talking to someone about this the other day. And they're prices have gone up. They used to be GREAT for work stuff, now I'd only wear their clothes to work if I want to get fired! Or maybe a raise... 
ETA: I usually go to H&M now. It's hit or miss a lot of the time, but when it's a hit, it's a really good hit! lol!

I feel the same exact way! I went there a few months ago to try on their colored skinny jeans and the quality was terrible! I just kept thinking how dare they charge over $80 for them, the material was paper thin
I used to buy tons and tons from them, and now I haven't bought anything in over a year. I buy all my jeans at American Eagle now, they are half the price and much better quality.

Yup! Same experience here! I had a lot of work clothes from there - loved their black editors pants and cute skirts and dresses.
2 kids later a lot of my old things don't fit the same so I was looking to replace them & thought to try there.
I walked in and right back out.

Yup! A few years ago ALL of my clothes were from Express. Now I walk in and I have a hard time finding anything to buy.
Anyone remember The Limited? I miss that store!!

The Limited is back in Roosevelt Field. I believe it opened in May
I agree about Express. I have so many pairs of dress pants from 2005-2006 that I refuse to get rid of. Now I feel I'm too old to shop there, the clothes are way too skimpy.

I shopped at Express when I started working around 2002-2003 but haven't shopped there in the last few years, not my style anymore. And yes, it does seem like the quality has gone downhill.

I used to work there back in college. All my paychecks went right back to the store..lols. The quality has gone done and price increased, it is not the same. I agree. For whoever that asked, Limited is back at RF, yeah, for us tall girls who need long work pants!! But they too, got pricy.

ITA! i dunno what happened to NY & Co... there are no good go to stores for work clothes anymore i feel. I so need to revamp my wardrobe but dont know where to begin!
