Exposed to the flu!

Asking for a friend.
She is 18 weeks pregnant.
A client walked In to her office for an appointment and stated she had just come from the doctor and has a terrible case of the flu!
My friend sent the client home immediately. But now she is freaked out ( and pissed off )
She did get the flu shot.
She immediately sprayed Lysol everywhere and in the hallways. And she of course washed her hands and such.
And the client was told the weeks before that she was pregnant.
So I guess we are wondering if someone is exposed to the flu, is it possible to not catch it?

It's definitely possible to be exposed to it and not catch it.

She is probably fine, seems like it was very limited contact. My dc #2 had the flu this winter, I was about 7 weeks at the time. My whole family got flu shots but only one kid got it and it was not passed to any of the rest of us.

This.

I was in the hospital getting induced for 3 days before DD was born. I did not get the flu shot. DH did. DH came down with the flu (confirmed) while we were in the hospital. DD and I were completely 100% healthy.

DH and I were in the same room together for 3 straight days.

Re: Exposed to the flu!

I'm sure she's fine. DH had the flu while I was pregnant. My OB gave me a flu shot and I quarantined DH to our bedroom and kept spraying the room with Lysol. I never got it.
