EXPLAIN HOW THIS IS POSSIBLE
we dont have a driveway yet so we park on the street. DH and I got 3 parking tickets on November 7th and I was going to fight 1 of them at court but I have no car now so I am just gonna pay it.....they are due by December 20th so I called to pay them and the woman said it wasnt in the system yet that I could pay by mail.
so I told her I dont want to pay a penalty if they dont get it by December 20th.
so she said I cant pay by phone or mail and if it doesnt get here by then I am paying a penalty.....HOW CAN IT NOT BE IN THE SYSTEM YET AND WHY IS THIS MY FAULT THAT ITS NOT??????????????????????????????????

Just send in the tickets with a check and have the envelope dated and copied.

You can send it certified mail, so that you get a receipt that the payment was received.

If they try to charge you any penalty, definitely fight it. That's ridiculous.

Well, at the very least then, I would type a letter with the date and scan a copy of it and the check if you have a scanner, and then send it out. Or, make copies if there is somewhere close enough to walk to do that.

Where is the payment office? It's only December 15th. If you get it in the mail before the afternoon pickup, you shouldn't have a problem.

Sorry to say but I think if you dont find a way to the postoffice to get this thing sent out certified with return receipt your asking for a big mess on your hands..
hopefully they will get it in time, if they dont.. you have no way to prove anything.
