Expired formula checks?

When I had twin DD's I used to use formula checks at every purchase. I can't remember if any of them were expired or not, but I remember hoarding and hanging on to them, so some of them must have been expired. I always bought formula at KK or Target.

Fast forward to today. KK doesn't carry DS formula (similac sensitive) so I either get it at Stop n Shop or Target.
Stop n Shop wouldn't take expired formula checks. Am I crazy? Does anyone, or is it just a new policy.... I feel like they used to but now don't? So confused.

You're not crazy. Stores are cracking down on it. Not only are some refusing expired checks, I was actually asked at Buy Buy Baby to show ID. The Similac checks were given to me from a friend who no longer needed them, and when they saw the names didn't match up, they would not accept them. They were current, unexpired checks! I have since switched to BJ's brand sensitive formula and DD is doing great on it. A huge container is $21.99 -- I highly recommend giving it a try if you're willing!

I posted a similar question about a week ago or so... my cousin gave me about 10 expired formula checks. I guess it depends on the cashier but when I tried using it they definitely checked the date. I also had a few unexpired that i used, and the cashier didn't really care that there were different names but was more concerned about the date. So anyway now I have all of these unexpired checks that I guess I just have to throw out. The way she explained it to me is the checks actually go through bank and so they have to be current.
