excited - scheduling my level II
i have my 16W check up today and i will be scheduling my level II.
i am trying to work it around several schedules, mostly because i would like my mom to be there (she has not been to any of my dr's appointments and i thought this would be cool since this is her first grandchild)
i have a feeling i know what the answer is going to be, and i have to say i haven't mentioned it to DH yet but... do i have to invite my MIL?
we get along very well, she's a very sweet woman, but i don't know how comfortable i'll be. i guess i just thought that if my mom was there it would be rude not to invite her, KWIM?
any thoughts would be appreciated

No you don't need to invite your MIL. Although it would be a nice thing to do and your husband might appreciate it.
I know that if i invited my mother and not my MIL, my MIL would be slightly offended, even if she didn't tell me.
If you get along, i say invite her. But you don't have to.

Re: excited - scheduling my level II
My mom came to my Ultrascreen and I would not feel the need to invite my MIL. If that is important to DH that is another story but it is you and your body and I think the choice is ultimately yours. IMO you do not need to.
By the way- my 16 week is tonight too and I will be scheduling my "anatomy check" since they don't do Level II's at their office. I am sooooo excited!!!!! We are completely parallel throughout this awesome journey!
Congratulations!

My 16 week appointment is on Thursday ..I think I have to take the AFP test??!!
My Level II is on April 24th!!! Can't wait...
MIL does not have to come..I agree with Mikeswife, it is your body anf the choice is ultimately yours!!

Re: excited - scheduling my level II
I invited my mom to a midwife appointment and never invited DH's mom. Never even crossed my mind to be honest.
But, I also didn't make a big deal out of my mom coming, not even sure if MIL knows my mom came.
But - I can't wait for you to go to your level II!! I'm so excited for you!!

Re: excited - scheduling my level II
knowing my MIL, i honestly think that she'll be "offended" if she's not invited... but who knows?
i am not asking anyone until i check with my dr's office to make sure they allow other people in for the sonos, and then i'll see what DH wants to do... as uncomfortable as i may be, i figure it's the least i can do. after all she did give me my hubby
i soooooo can't wait!!!
