Excessive peeing when on Amox?

Excessive peeing when on Amox?
DS started Amoxicilin last Thursday for a cough he's had. Since Saturday I've noticed that within 2 hours he's SOAKING through all his diapers. I mean, to the point where he's drenched in his own pee  and it has a very strong smell to it.
Is this normal when infants are on antibiotics or should I call the Ped and let her know?

I never noticed it but DS is on Amox too and I have noticed that he is excessively thirsty - therefore pees a lot more!!! I wonder if there is something to it!
