when my DH sees pics like these he says "Damn -- that is just not for me -- bones are for dogs....this guy needs some meat."
I definitely think it's just the angle of the pic - cause her other leg seems just fine, but it still is a little gross looking.

Okay...As someone who Photoshops photos all day long as a job, I have to say that there is a lot of photoshop done on this pic. NOW - that being said, while I am sure that her leg is actually very skinny (and I too find this really gross looking) Look at her left arm (on the right side) you can see that some has been shaved off right after the bicep leading into the forearm, making her hand look huge and her arm look awful. Not to mention that the background has been added in as you can see a halo of dark around her hair and the her face is really red where they added additional coloring...blech...just my two cents...

photoshopping or not , I still find it disturbing that either model or creative directors at VS find that appealing.

it's probably a mix of "let's make her look better" and then a really bad execution that fell through the cracks. you'd be surprised at how many awful photoshop jobs make it into mainstream media.
