Everyone laughed at my new garden toy
I'm tired of a sore back, sore hamstrings, and sore knees from working in the garden. So I bought this "Tractor Scoot" in green:
And whenever I show people they all laugh! 
My husband said $70 for a second vehicle is a steal! I suggested that he use it to scoot on down to the train station in the morning.
My friend laughed her @ss off and said, that is some serious machinery and what does it top out at, 5 mph?
I personally think it's scooterific. And I don't much care if I look like an @sshole on it, at least I won't be sore at the end of the day. So THERE.

so cute!!! I saw a raised seat like that yesterday- it was $35.....to get one that's motorized for $70 is a steal!!

Oops, it's not motorized. Sorry, I realize I might have implied that. You wheel it around yourself.
I've been pricing out a bunch of them - the plastic ones are much cheaper. But the weight rating is what I was concerned with. A lot of them say rated to 250 pounds. I'm not at that weight, but I am a large woman, always will be.
My metal dealie is rated to 300 pounds. I feel MUCH better about sitting on this one.
I'm putting it together now.

ohh I like. I have a stupid rubber thing to kneel on. How does it move on grass. All my gardens are bordered by grass.

tricia-you aren't going to believe it, right after i posted that i loved it this morning we went antiquing/tag sale hopping on the north fork. I got THE EXACT same thing in green for $20
I almost fainted when I saw it at the first sale we went to! I can't wait to use it!

Tricia I love it! It's a great product to buy. As long as you aren't in pain after gardening that is all that counts. Let them laugh. The first one that asks you to borrow it, you laugh at them and tell them no.
I actually have this one. I like it, but my DH laughed at me. But my knees don't hurt when I'm done, so I like it.

Good job showin me up Kelly I guess they didn't like it that much! I hope I like mine more. I really want to start getting out to yard sales this summer.
Betsy, I've been eyeing that thing for months, and looking for similar and less expensive ones. I originally saw it on Gardeners.com.
I didn't get to use it because it started raining right after we finished putting it together. I'll try it out on the grass and let you know!
