Ever feel sad that DC is getting older?
DD will be 8 months on the 22nd, I can't believe it. Of course I am thrilled that she is growing, and healthy, etc...but sometimes I get sad knowing that she is not an infant anymore...and most of the time I am so happy that she is getting older and doing and learning more but KWIM?

YES! I totally know what you mean. DS recently turned 2 and I just can't believe it. It makes me sad to know that in the blink of an eye he'll be a big boy. Sometimes I just want to hold him like a little baby lol (well actually I do!)Then on the other hand, I love how independent he is getting and all the fun things that come with this age.

YES! DD will be one in June and I'm so sad she's not my little baby anymore. But each new age is truly amazing. Can't beat the hugs and high fives and belly laughs I'm getting at this stage.

Yes, its bittersweet. I love that he's doing more and more each day, but I'm sad that all I have left of his newborn stage are memories and photos.

Re: Ever feel sad that DC is getting older?
Yes I do and my dh always gets mad at me. My ds is 6 and how big he is and the things he says...i don't understand where my baby went. My dd is 18 months and the baby stage went so so fast. My heart aches a bit because I can't believe how fast everything is going and she is most likely my last baby. i try to cherish it all.

YES!!! You know my DD is the same age as yours It's going so fast! We were with my cousin today who has a 3-week old. It was so awesome to hold him and I feel like Olivia was never that small!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this age though

Re: Ever feel sad that DC is getting older?
Let me say, when I had DD#2 and DD#1 was 14m old, I had the worse hormonal crying spells wishing #1 was still tiny, wondering where the time went, etc. I'd sit there (exhausted since I just had a second baby) and sort through all the photos on the computer of #1 from birth to 14m and could NOT believe she was ever as tiny as my new baby. I now look at my younger DD and can't believe she's almost 10m and how she has changed from a 3 week early delivery to this very much caught up almost crawling infant who can sit on her own and interact with her big sister. It's so sad that infancy is only 1 year... I hear it only gets harder as they get older. You would have thought my 14m old was going off to college the way I was crying and "walking down memory lane" of only a year prior.

Re: Ever feel sad that DC is getting older?
Yes, I completey understand and agree! That's why I give my baby, who's a toddler now, lotsa hugs and kisses whenever I can 'cus they grow up so fast. Pretty soon, they will be too embarassed of mommy's hugs and kisses!
Oh, and I'm going to space out having my 1st and 2nd so I can relive the precoius infancy period again in a few years. :)
