Ethan will be 4 weeks Thursday..........he hasnt pooped in 2 days
Im going to call the DR today. He hasnt pooped in 2 days- Im sure I am over reacting but being a new mom I dont know. It seems like he has to go- I mean he is very gassy and it seems like he is pushing (his poor face gets red). I am BFing and giving him formula (more formula than breast milk). do you think that has something to do with it? Is this commin in new borns?
any advice would be much appreciated.

Call the Doc, but 2 days isn't so bad. DS would go sometimes three days and was on formula. Try massaging his belly lightly and keep putting his knees to his chest. THe Doc may tell you to do the thermometer trick. Not fun, but it works. First try the massage and keep him upright if you can. My Ped said laying down sometimes makes it harder. Not easy to poop laying on your back
