Essential oils for sleep?
Anyone have success with this? Sleep with DD has been a mission the last two years. I've tried pretty much everything and she'll maybe give us 4 nights tops of good sleep followed by a week of being up for hours in the middle of the night. Someone told me about essential oils. I shrugged it off at first but now am willing to give it a try. I saw a few things online that look promising. Has anyone had success with using them to get their LO to sleep?

Be careful with EO. Some are dangerous. Common ones like peppermint and eucalyptus should not be under in children under 6. Hey can cause respiratory distress. Please do your research and follow using essential oils safely on Facebook. That's the ONLY group I've found that you're not allowed to mention brand names. So you don't get MLM Sales people who are not knowledage.
I would check with your ped but maybe melatonin could help to regulate her.

I've tried them for my son and they're pretty hit or miss. Which to me means they don't work necessarily for him. Melatonin is great putting kids to sleep but it doesn't keep them asleep (least not all kids). DS falls asleep fine but like yours, he's up 2-3 hours a night sometimes. When they wake up is when to give the melatonin (which is what I've been told).
My ped. has not suggested melatonin or anything really, he says some kids are just not sleepers. Lucky us.
If you can find kid safe eo then I don't see the harm in trying.
