Ering spinoff: new setting or new setting fused to wedding ring

I have a solitaire Tiffany type ering. My eternity band (which has only the 2 prong between each diamond, very open diamonds) is wearing my ering prongs.

Would you:
1 get it reset & fuse it to band
2 get a whole new setting & wear on Rt hand?

I love them together, but what if one day I want to make it into a new ring (say for 10year) Could the rings be separated in the future?
