engagement parties?
i'm thinking of throwing my sister an engagement party.... i never had one and i've only been to one.. anyone have any ideas for me?? where to have it? dont' want to spend a fortune because she will also need a bridal shower AND a baby shower..lol

DH's friend had one. They just had it at his sister's house. She had a decent size back yard. They had the party catered and it was pretty simple but nice. My cousin and his wife had one at the Coral House. THat was a little more extravagant.

Well it depends on the amount of people and stuff. How about like a VFW or a Knights of columbus or something?

No. DH and i had ours at the VFW in LIndenhurst. And a friend of mine had her baby shower at one in Islip i think. I dont know what the price was but my mom said it was very reasonable. It's a the little stuff that adds up
