energy efficient appliances- any regrets?

we're going to have to start thinking about and purchasing appliances- washer, dryer, dishwasher, oven, fridge- everything

i know my mom has a new dishwasher that's energy efficient, but it seriously takes 2 hours to finish a load. i would blow my brains out if my dishwasher took that long.

and my in laws have the front loading washer and dryer, and when i do laundry there, it takes forever to do a load... and i know you cant just open the lid and throw in that last item that you forgot to throw in

i understand that these things are energy efficient and eco friendly, but i mean, if they take so long, i hate to say it, but id almost rather not have energy efficient things...

does anyone have energy efficient appliances that arent so darn slow?

wanted to add: if you have EE appliances and like them, please let me know which ones you have

We have an energy efficient washer and dryer. The washer takes 57 minutes and the dryer takes 45 minutes or less. I do feel like the washer takes forever, but the dryer takes a lot less time so for us it evens out. They are both from GE.

As for the dishwasher, we do not have an EE one, but it takes about an hour and 30 minutes. We usually just run it when we go to bed, so it is never an issue.

We have all new ee appliances. I actually love the washing machine. Yes, it takes longer but I feel like our clothes look better because it's actually more gentle. And we use less detergent too. The dryer is actually quicker than our old one.

as far as the dishwasher, it does take longer, but we usually run it before bed or when I am leaving for work in the morning so it's not an issue ... and it's SO quiet - not like the old one that sounded like an airplane landing.

Consumer Reports' recent review of dishwashers has the quickest cycle time of 110 minutes, which is 1 hour and 50 minutes. The range is 110 to 145. They reviewed 52 of them. That also includes the "heated dry" feature as part of the cycle, which of course adds time to the wash cycle, and a step you don't have to do.
