Is the applicator necessary? TMI...but it seems like my fingers can do the job just as well.

I think it gets it "up" there farther. Just be careful. I scraped my cervix the last time I used it. I hated that stuff

I'm not a fan of the applicator. As long as you get it to where it's gotta go its all good.
