Endocrinologist
Anyone know a good endocrinologist (not a reproductive one) on the Island (preferably in Suffolk county). I keep switching RE's and eventually I hope not to be going to one , so I'll need someone to treat my thyroid going forward. Thanks.

Re: Endocrinologist
My dad sees one for his diabetes in Riverhead (I 'think' his name is Goldberg or Goldenberg-- I'll check w/ him). He's just east on 105 on the Main Road in that first complex, in the back.
I saw someone for a very short while who was affiliated w/ stony brook (I 'think' her name was Michelle Jardine but am not positive about that one) but decided I was better off at an RE at that pont, and have been going to one since- she seemed to know her stuff though.
I asked my current RE if once we're pg and have kids, if I need to find another dr and he told me no- that he will still see me for PCOS.

Re: Endocrinologist
Cool, found him and he's in my Oxford plan. I will call. My current RE doesn't want to treat my thyroid. Wants me to go see an endo. Of course he recommends someone in NYC and I am like that is 2 hours away. So, I had to call my old RE to get my current prescription filled.
When my good friend got PG last year, her RE sent her immediately to her endo. And he monitored her entire pg.
Oh...wow...I guess I'm thinking positive and I didn't even know it. Weird moment there.

Re: Endocrinologist
I went to one in Smithtown/Happauge. Sherry Sussman. I've only seen her 3 times or so, several years ago, but she was very knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough. The office is right off of 347 behind Boulder Creek.

I have a great one in Patchogue. Dr Lengyel-Kremenic. She's in a practice with Dr Wexler. (But I've never met Wexler) 758-5858
SHe listens to everything you have to say and really spends time with you. Absolutely fabulous!

I have seen Dr. Wexler. He seems to be a very nice man.
