Eggnog?
Can we safely have eggnog? I always get a hankering for it around the holidays. I'd love to have some on Christmas since I have to pass on the "real" cocktails.

Re: Eggnog?
I think this is something that has to be passed on. I'm not sure though. For some reason I think my doctor told me when I was pregnant with DS#1 that he would rather me not have eggnog.

Re: Eggnog?
I think traditional eggnog is made with raw eggs which unfortunately means it is a no go for pg women.

Re: Eggnog?
homemade eggnog- is not safe.
however- Commercially manufactured eggnog is made with pasteurized eggs and has not been linked with salmonella infections, says the CDC. There are also many eggnog recipes available that used cooked eggs, and these would be safe.

Re: Eggnog?
I thought it is ok to have as long as it's pasteurized, like store bought out of a carton.
