Egg hunts - at church

For those who have gone to egg hunts at their church...

Do you find the eggs to be filled with Candy? Stickers? Or Empty?

I took ds last year, and he loved the toddler one, but I was surprised the eggs were empty... Was curious if maybe the older one had filled, or if churchs just don't put anything inside.

ok... this year we went again, and as we were leaving a lady came around telling us to head to the other building, to trade in the eggs for candy. They had premade baggies, then had a couple of tables of dessert for the kids to sit down too. It was pretty nice, and clever they can reuse the eggs then.

We've done easter egg hunts at church and they had candy and little toy stuff from like oriental trading.

I've never seen them have empty easter eggs, but i guess them having them trade them in is a good idea.

Most of the egg hunts we've done the kids empty out the eggs and give them back at the end of the hunt anyways.

Our church had candy inside. Today we went to DD nursery school's church hunt. Candy and toys inside but they asked that after the hunt you opened the eggs took the treats out but returned the shells.
