EE series bonds
anyone know about these? I have one and have a question about the rules regarding redemption.

I have several for my DS. It has to mature the full 18 yrs to get the face value amount.

Here's the website that gives you everything you want to know and has a trusty calculator to tell you how much they are worth at this time.
Even if they aren't matured yet, you will get more than what the buyer paid (which is half of the face value).
Treasury Direct
We got some for our wedding. We were going to cash them in but, they are earning a pretty good interest rate and they haven't matured yet.
