Educational type toys for 2 year old
I started a wish list for DD for x-mas and her b-day (which is only a couple weeks after x-mas). I would like some educational type toys to add to it too but I am not sure which ones are more geared toward her age. Any suggestions?

I saw the Leap Frog bus at the store and was considering it for my 2 yr old DS. Most Leap Frog toys are perfect for that age and would consider it educational.

I love the Teach my Toddler (and they have Teach my preschooler) kits. They are something you do with them more than something they play on their own. But DS learned shapes in 30 minutes from that kit!
I was told Playdoh is actually really good for developing fine motor skills needed for writing (not necessarily educational but you KWIM)

I had a lot of Leapfrog toys for them around this age especially a few of their educational DVDs like Letter Factory. My kids really enjoyed that one.

I consider blocks, puzzles, even a toy cash register w/money educational for that age group. Toys that they can do imaginative play, or practice skills. My DDs not in preschool so I try to think of the toys she'd play with if she went to school. I also bought her a Melissa and Doug beading kit to practice fine motor skills and shapes.
ETA: Netflix has a few Leap Frog Alphabet and Phonics movies.
