edTPA?
I had a provisional certification that expired in 2007 (Pre-K - Grade 6). I did not apply for an extension nor did I apply for my permanent bc at the time I was a SAHM. Fast forward: I am currently trying to get my certification back. Masters finished in 2002. I needed to take all the new certification exams and do the DASA training. The final component is this edTPA (online portfolio).
However, due to an emergency response from the state, even if I receive an "unsatisfactory" on the edTPA, because I took and passed the old ATS-W in 2000, I will still be granted an initial cert for grades 1-6. So ridiculous and basically a way for NYS to make more money off teachers.
Anyway, my question is has anyone here completed the edTPA and passed? What exactly does it entail? I can't seem to find any information without paying the $300 fee and opening my account with Pearson.
Thanks in advance

edTPA?
I was just talking to a former student of mine who graduated from SUNY Buffalo in May but didn't finish her edtpa yet. Each local college edu dept has help sessions and offers help on putting the portfolio together, but she specifically mentioned Touro online for help. Here is the link, but maybe you can reach out to the edu dept wherever you got your masters and ask them. FWIW, I think Pearson is the Devil.
