Edited with another question: Is this alot for a fence?
I have NO idea about these things and don't want to be taken advantage of because of the "area" we live in....(which happens ALL the time) People jack up the prices because the town is considered affluent
111' of a 6' PVC white fence with a 4' wide gate: $3600

We got three quotes for 100' of white PVC fence (no gate) for $2k.

Is there more of a benefit to have a pvc fence than a wood fence? Are there pros and cons to each?

Pro for PVC would be you don't really have to take care of it really. Maybe once or twice a year hose it down from dirt. You never have to replace PVC because it's plastic.
Wood fences rot over time, so that is a con. You would at some point have to replace the wood fence.
For me I like the look of the white PVC.
Have you gotten quotes from different places? We just got our fence done by Liberty Fence and they were the cheapest with the best product and warranty for us. GL!

That's what I thought re: PVC vs. Wood. And the less I have to deal with my neighbors the better.
I am planning on getting a few more quotes. I'm OOS though, but thanks for the reccommendation.
For us, the issue finding someone has always been where we live. We seem to pay and gets quotes for twice as much as folks that live in the next town over.

We have mostly PVC, and we do powerwash it often...we have a large backyard, and did wood stockade along the back....that does not need much upkeep at all.....
where do you live that people would do that?

Did you get a quote from that fence place on Rt 10 next to Costco? I have heard a lot of people use them...
