EdgePark Ladies - Question about Dr. Verification - UPDATE

So I placed an order for my pump through edgepark the other day. I just spoke with them and they said my doctor needs to verify something, and that the doctor requires some sort of follow up before they will do it. Actually, I'm very confused about what they need, but they told me to call the doctor and speak to them.

If you ordered through Edgepark, did your doctor have to sign off on a breast pump? Do you know why? Did anyone's doctor refuse to do this? I'm not sure why my doctor would even care, so I must be missing something.

If you made it through my long ramble and have any experience, please help!! TIA!

UPDATE! So my OB called back and said it's the pediatrician who fills out the form - they don't do it.

So now I have to wait until after my first ped visit to get this stuff approved? I was hoping to get it in before the end of the year. I had no idea it would be this complicated.

Your insurance probably requires a diagnosis code for medical necessity. As long as your insurance company said they cover the pump you'll be fine.

edgepark had my ob fill out a form- some obs wait till u deliver to fill out the form mine did it about a month before so I had my pump before i even delivered.
