Ebay question
I purchased a baby sweater on ebay, but the sweater that was mailed to me is not the sweater I ordered. I emailed the seller, she admitted the error, and is asking me to send her back the sweater I received in error, and then she'll send me the correct sweater. And she'll pay for the shipping of the return.
I really don't feel like I should be burdened with returning something she made the mistake of sending me. I just want my money back. We're talking about a $12 sweater, and at this point, I don't care about it, I just have a million things to do before I deliver (I'm 38 weeks) and going to the post office to return something I never ordered is really a low priority for me.
I'm not sure what to do. Maybe I can ask her to send me a self-addressed package that I can leave for the mailman; I'm more likely to return it that way than to make a trip to the post office just for this. What do you think? And I would love the sweater I bid on and actually won, but I guess that's a lost cause at this point.

Re: Ebay question
It doesn't sound like a lost cause if she's going to send you the correct sweater.
There's not harm in asking her to mail you a SASE... she's paying for the shipping regardless, right? I think its worth a shot to ask.

I just wrote to her and asked her to send a SASE with the correct sweater and I'll send back the wrong one. Maybe this will be an acceptable solution to her.

Re: Ebay question
mistakes happen
I once mixed up 2 pairs of pants I sold- and each buyer returned them to me and I resent them out at my cost- and paid for the return shipping
you are still going to have to send the sweater back for a refund- and take it the post office
ETA- I didn't see that you were 38 weeks - tell her that!

Hopefully! I'm assuming that she'll comply because if not, it could result in negative feedback, KWIM?
Good luck!!

Re: Ebay question
I think you should return the sweater to her, especially since she agreed to pay for the shipping. Yes she made the mistake, but that doesnt mean that you should get this sweater and the one that you really ordered too. I have made mistakes before with items sold on ebay, and like Beth said I had the customers send them back and I either gave them a refund or shipped them out the correct items Scott
