eating veggies

i am having a hard time getting my 19mo old to eat veggies. he loved spinach until about 3 weeks ago but now will not eat it. i can get him to eat sweet potatoes, but that's pretty much it. any suggestions on how to get him to eat green veggies?

Re: eating veggies

Sometimes I would puree mixed veggies and sneak them into a quiche, omelet or quesidilla. Now that she's about 3.5 she calls me out on it. Chat Icon

My DD LOVES frozen peas. She thinks they are a special treat and calls them "ice peas".

I also sauté broccoli in olive oil and garlic, add a little salt and mix it with pasta and DD eats it up.

I do the same thing with spinach, and then purée it and mix it with orzo pasta...she loves that too.

I have twin boys 22 months. One of them wont eat any kind of veggies. I still give him the puree....it's the only way.

Re: eating veggies

Dd doesn't hate veggies but this is how I get them in as often as possible...

Mac n cheese ALWAYS has finely chopped broccoli in it

I buy pasta sauce with other veggies (peppers, zucchini, carrots) in it

There are pastas made with veggie puree (Rienzi is the brand I can remember but I'm sure there are others)

I chop carrots and boil them in low sodium veggie broth to get them supper soft and add a nice flavor

If I'm serving veggies by themselves then she gets those first. We don't move on to the next "course" until she at least puts a good dent in them.
