Eating question

Just curious if anyone experienced this...

DS was eating about 5.5 ounces every 3.5-4 hours. At night he'd go longer, with about 5 or 6 hours for his long stretch. Suddenly the past couple of days he's been wanting to eat every 2-2.5 hours, and only going 3 hours at night. And sometimes he's happy with smaller bottles, between 3-4.75 ounces, which hasn't satisfied him since he was 3 or 4 weeks old.

I'd obviously prefer him going longer between bottles - especially at night! But not sure there's anything I can do about it. Just curious if anyone has experienced this. I'd say it's a growth spurt, but pretty sure he had one 2 weeks ago when he was 6 weeks old. He's 8 weeks now and I never heard of an 8 week growth spurt.

I think we had a growth spurt every week till about 2y :)

My general rule was offer 1 oz than he ate last time. You'll notice the more spaced out his feedings are the more he will eat and the more he will sleep.

I'd wait a few weeks to really schedule his feedings, at least wait till he hits 12lbs.
