Easter weekend birthday
would you have a birthday party for your twins (turning 3), the day before Easter? we are keeping it very small and although everyone we know celebrates Easter, I figure 12-3 on a Saturday might be good. I don't want to do it the week before because I work and won't really have time to get ready the day before and this way, I am off beforehand. I don't want to do it the weekend after because it's past their birthday and getting too close to my daughter's Communion and the same people will be invited to that. also, that day is their actual birthday.
I am so not the mom that usually worries about these types of things, but don't want to plan something and then no one comes. lol

The day before Easter wouldn't be a problem, but some people might be away that week for spring break.

Re: Easter weekend birthday
I wouldn't. I think a lot of people will be cooking and prepping for Easter Sunday. Plus some in my family would be going to religious services that day.

Easter weekend birthday
We celebrate Easter the day before so I wouldn't be able to attend. We do very little on Easter itself.

Re: Easter weekend birthday
is this a family party or a kiddie party? If i were hosting Easter, it would be hard to make it out for 3 hours in the middle of the day they day before (plus travel time - sort of kills the whole day). If it's a kiddie party, can't it be 1.5 hrs., as they usually are? That would be more palatable than 3 hours.
I don't mean to be harsh but I'm a working mom too, and I wouldn't choose Easter weekend over the weekend before it just so I could prepare better. If the weekend before seems to be the better choice for guests, I'd just stay up later the Thursday and Friday night to get everything in order. Or I'd do it on the Sunday. Having said that, if the Saturday before Easter is the only one that works for you, then go for it.

If it's convenient for you, go for it. You will never be able to please 100% of your guests in terms of dates/times, etc.

Easter weekend birthday
We couldn't go but we do a church Easter event on Sat and then host Sum so that weekend is shot for us or we travel for spring break.
