Earth's Best starter pack

I just started DS on sweet potatoes (which he loved!) and am going to move on to carrots next. My ped. told me to start w/ orange veggies, then go to fruits, then green veggies. I bought the EB starter pack & it comes with s.potatoes, carrots and peas. Now a few questions:

Should I skip the peas for now or just go with it. Does the order really matter?

Also, how often do/did you feed DS in the beginning? Today I did cereal for breakfast and for dinner cereal and sweet potaotes. Is this good? When do I up it to have him eat 3x's a day?

EVeryone will tell you a different order. I am not sure what the rationale is for doing green veggies last...maybe because the flavor is stronger? I gave sweet potatoes first, then something else (dont' remember) and then peas. I didn't do fruits until a I did a few veggies.

I won't start doing 3x a day until I go to DDs 6 month appt next week. My Ped was ok with me doing 3x a day last month but I wanted to add meals in slowly because we were also transitioning to formula and I didn't want too many changes.

Re: Earth's Best starter pack

My ped said green veggies have the least amount of flavor so not to start with them. I didn't listen and started with peas. DD loves them. Chat Icon Chat Icon (DH & I both hate peas).

I started DD on solids about a week after she hit 6 months. She didn't start eating solids 3x per day until a few days after she hit 9 months.

I started following the chart on this website LINK combined with recommendations from other girls here.

I bought the Earth's Best starter pack as well. DD is almost seven months and I give her cereal in the morning mixed with some fruit. So far she has had apples, pears and bananas.

Around dinner time, I give her either the sweet potatoes, winter squash or peas. She only eats about 1/2 a jar. I hope the order doesn't matter too much.

Thank you for the responses. I think I will go with the peas after the carrots.
