earliest to detect heartbeat

doing a transvaginal u/s, whats the earliest a heartbeat could be detected?

i believe it depends on the machinery used...

i am with an RE and saw and heard the hearbeat at 6w1d.

I'm not sure what they say the earliest is but I had an internal at 6 weeks and didn't hear anything, and another at 7 weeks where we finally got to hear the H/B.

I have heard of women hearing it at 6 weeks though. Hard to say...

Depends on the equipment. I saw an RE, so I had a sono every week beginning at 5w4d. We saw the heartbeat at 6w4d, and heard it a week later

I think 6 wks. I know we didn't see the heartbeat at 5.5 wks. They said the heartbeat would be visible anyday.

is Dr. G doing your sono??? If so we saw it at 5w4d and heard it at 6weeks on the dot...it was 101 very faint but Dr G said it was great....

we had our first sono at exactly 5weeks. we go again this week and it will be exactly 6 weeks. dr. g said it looks like a singleton!!Chat Icon we are so thrilled and im a nervous wreck now! i just want everything to go smoothly!Chat Icon
